Well as I look at the calendar I see the new year is just around the corner. This means a new year to start fresh and experience new things. Here are my thoughts and wishes for the New Year in 2011.
1 - Use green and eco friendly products even more than I already am!
2 - Become Director in my at home business by March.
3 - Get as healthy as I can so I can enjoy my life and marriage and family even more than I do now.
4 - Read a book every couple of weeks and go outside what I normally ready so I can learn new things and open my mind wider than ever!
5 - Support my husband even better in everything he does!

Interesting Facts about Chemicals in your Home
I was looking around different articles online and was absolutely shocked to see how many everyday items, including ones I put in my body! have harmful chemicals in them. It truly started dawning on me how my health can be truly affected by the items. I would like to share some of these findings with you.
The following products (ones I use are in red) have irritants, carcinogens and neurotoxins found in them. These chemicals are known to cause cancer and cause havoc with your nervous system.

How a vacation can make you appreciate clean and eco friendly lifestyles
My husband and I went on a one week vacation to Killarney in Northern Ontario for a week. WOW!! Between the fresh, unpolluted air, lakes that looked like glass, and natural foods that brought us back to what we should be putting in our bodies. It made me appreciate my Melaleuca even more as well. Knowing that I can help preserve places like that by using friendly and healthy products gave me a whole new appreciation for it.
I still have a tough time with some people in understanding why they would not want this product in their home. It does not cost them any more (it is replacing what they already buy) and it is convenient to order it and then a few days later have it delivered to their door - which may I add saves gas and emissions from driving.
I long for the vacation spot again - even the cold nights were appreciated when I woke up to the beautiful sights I had the pleasure of seeing.

Deep breath in -- and exhale ....
I did it this week. I hit the period when you question what you are doing and if you have started something you can finish. The excitement I had the other week about starting this at home business waned for a few days as self-doubt, self-criticism and frustration hit. Then I remembered two key things. Breathe in and exhale. Simple instructions when you think of it, but when it comes time to do it at a critical moment why does it then seem to be so difficult to complete?
I listened to a cd today (ok it was my husbands and I accidently took it on my way to work) but it made perfect sense and tied in to my Team Monster Meeting from last night when it said "the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over but expecting different results". It also said that in order to succeed and truly make it on your own you need to pull away from the other 97% and be unique. Internet CEO moms tells us to "be real" and it rings truer and truer everyday. I am not happy going to the same job, by the same route, and repeating the same tasks everyday. I need to grow, I need to evolve and I need to stop living vicariously through others expectations.
I did my first presentation today on my own (moving sort of in my own direction) and I must say it was quite successful. I will do my 48 hour follow-up and I am pretty sure I will have my first enrollment. How exciting is this??!! VERY!! I am thinking that moving in a different direction, having faith in knowing I can be what I want to be in life and honestly admitting I am scared of changing the way things are because I LOVE structure will allow me to be very successful in this new business.
So here is a toast (theoretically) to breaking the definition of insanity and growing with my wonderful team members!
Deep breath in -- and exhale everyone!

Working from home - it's more difficult than you may think!
I started working from home part-time a week ago. I am working with an amazing company called Internet CEO moms and we work with another company called Melaleuca. It has amazing products (check out the link www.melaleuca.com) and I have turned into a devoted user of them. I thought with my husband working such long hours I would have plenty of time to fill and would gets miles and miles of pathway cleared to get this business going.
WRONG!
As I sat down to read my membership kit I noticed my paper was sticking to the coffee table a little. Of course I have to clean it and spill my coffee in the meantime. Perfect! Now I had the chance to use the stain remover I had received from my value pack, and let me just say this ~ stain??? what stain?!?! This then meant I had to vacuum the carpet and by the time I was done an hour had passed and I still had reading to do. But I was able to use products and find out that - yes - they are AMAZING!
The following night I made a dozen phone calls. Followed by a dozen "let me get back to you". I made myself feel better by doing laundry; MelaBrite and MelaPower are awesome by the way!
I finally got down to reading an article in my Leadership magazine and there was an article about this lady who felt like giving up after her first week and her daughter told her to keep at it. Her second week things started moving and now she is super successful. It made me think, and then smile and then get my optimism back (I also had a nice chat with my enroller).
Week two ~ here I come!
